To add a log book entry click on the 'Record™' button in the Module Bar and to go into the logbook screens.
Select the item in the Inventory Menu for which you want create the log
entry for.
Click the 'Add' button on the Database Bar. This will create a new logbook entry for the selected item with the 'General'
logbook template preselected.
The templates available will depend on the configuration of your server and the type of element selected in the Inventory menu. For instance a stream may have events such as 'Stream Open' and 'Stream Close' but a piece of equipment may have events like 'Calibrate' and 'Configuration' etc. To select a different template select the template from the 'Event' popup menu.
Once the template has been selected the screen will change to show the new template.
Enter all the necessary fields. Fields marked in red are mandatory. Once completed click the 'Save' button to go back to the logbook list page with the new event added.
