Setting Up Inventory

When the application is run up for the first time a basic site hierarchy will be created that includes the system and special areas for the system such as 'Stores', 'Offsite' and 'Obsolete'.

To setup the Inventory heirarchy for the first time, first log on to the server using your web browser.

Log on with either the Administrator password or as any other user who has the ability to make Inventory changes.


Click on the 'System' in the Inventory Menu.

First rename the system to something more appropriate by clicking the 'Edit' button.

Once the system has been renamed, the next step is to add the stations, tags and equipment (default locations and process elements are automatically created when setting up a station). Upto 4 stations can be added to a system.

WARNING: Ensure your system hierarchy is setup correctly before adding any logbook entries as adding entries will lock its element and all parent elements.
