The Inventory menu on the left hand side of the screen will show the hierarchy of the system. This heirarchy can include up to 5 levels and can be set up as Worldwide / Continent / Country / Area or can go straight into the Area.

Each level can include its own graphical maps.

The heirarchy of the system can be drilled down into by either clicking through the Inventory Menu or by clicking on regions on the maps.

At the bottom level there will be a list of systems. Clicking on a system opens the equipment list screen for that system. If standalone copies of Record™ or Calibrate™ are being used then the Logbook or Calibration Schedule screen will be opened retrospectively.

New Areas/Sites
To add an area, click the area in the Inventory Menu to which the new area should be added to and then click the 'Add' button at the bottom of the Inventory Menu.

Type in the name of the new area.

Areas are geographical regions represented in a hierarchy including continents , countries and regions.

At the bottom level of the hierarchy is a Site. A Site is a platform or similar installation where equipment is installed. It has its own equipment list and can have other applications such as Record™ and Calibrate™ etc. To inidicate that the area should be configured as a Site click the 'Site' checkbox. (System).

Pictures of the area or site and their image maps can be uploaded on to the server. METCO can supply these area pictures in a style that reflects the interface. To add a picture or image map click 'Browse' and locate the image or map file respectively. Image file formats should be limited to .JPG or .GIF

Click 'Save' and the Area or Site will be added to the Inventory Menu.
