| Locked Inventory
Elements Once an Inventory element has data stored against it (either from Record™, Calibrate™ or any other application) the Inventory element will become locked. This will also propogate up the Inventory hierarchy. For instance if a piece of equipment has a logbook entry against it it, that equipment, its tag, the tag's process element, the process element's location and the location's station will all become locked. This stops logbook data being inadvertantly removed. The only exception to this rule is the installation of equipment and the movement of equipment. Both of these events generate automatic logbook entries but do not lock the Inventory Menu. This is because creating equipment would instantly lock the whole Inventory! Once an Inventory element is locked it will not longer be editable and also will not be removable. |
