Performing Calibrations
Clicking on a calibration in the Calibrations List or a scheduled or overdue calibration in the Schedule will allow the selected calibration to be entered.

This will present a blank calibration form that reflects the type of calibration being performed.
The 'Entered Date' and 'Entered Time' fields are automatically recorded along with the name of the person performing the calibration. The 'Calibration Date' and 'Time' fields can be entered manually in case the calibration had been performed previously and is being entered retrospectively.
Ad Hoc Calibrations
Once a scheduled calibration is performed and has passed the test it will be automatically be rescheduled based on the schedule. Sometimes it is necessary to perform a calibration outside of the usual schedule without affecting the schedule. This is known as an Ad Hoc calibration. To perform an Ad Hoc calibration click the 'Ad Hoc' checkbox at the top of the form. Unscheduled calibrations are by definition Ad Hoc calibrations.
Procedures
Procedures are documents that detail how to carry out the calibration. They are normally PDF or Word documents. If a procedure has been provided for the calibration there will be a link to downloaded and view the procedure document online.
Parameters
Different calibrations will have different parameters. Each parameter must be entered. The units used were defined while the calibration was being setup. Consult the calibration documentation for your calibration to find out more information on how the parameters are used in the calculation.
Test Equipment
Some calibrations require test equipment. The test equipment available is taken directly from the inventory. The test equipment used during the calibration can be selected from the equipment popup menu based on its serial number. Calibrate™ will automatically use any parameters associated with the test equipment in the calculations.
Other Sections
Some calibrations may contain other sections not detailed here as they are specific to the calibration. Consult the calibration documentation for your calibration to find out more information on how these other sections are used in the calculation.
Results
Most calibrations have a 'Results' section. This section allows the user to the main results of the calculation. Consult the calibration documentation for your calibration to find out more information on how the results are used in the calculation.

Calibrate™ does not dynamically compute the calculation results while the user is entering their values. This is to prevent them modifying the values until they get a successful result. Calculation fields are not calculated until the form has been saved. Result fields will show 'Pass' or 'Fail' only once the calculation has been performed.
Saving Calibrations
Once all the values have been entered onto the form clicking 'Save' will perform the calculation. There can be two outcomes for a calibration either 'Pass' or 'Fail'. For the calculation to be successful all of the results must pass.

Successful Calibrations
If the calibration was successful, the user will be shown the calibration certificate. Clicking 'OK' will take them to calibration history screen.
Unsuccessful Calibrations
If the calibration was unsuccessful, the user will still be shown the calibration certificate to allow them to see which part failed. They can elect to abandon the calibration at this point by clicking 'Cancel' or can click the 'Retry' button to perform the calibration again.
Note: some values can cause script errors to occur such as divide by zero. If this happens simply check your values and re-enter any incorrectly entered values.
Setting Up Calibrations
If the user has access to setup calibrations on the station then a 'Setup' button will be available in the Database Bar. Clicking 'Setup' takes the user to the Calibration Setup screen.
