Prover Data and Control

The Prover Data and Control screen allows the prove sequence to be initiated and monitored.

The Prover Data and Control screen is divided up into three areas.

The left hand side column is a copy of the prover sidebar that appears on the P&ID.

The top right hand side consists of a table displaying the proving run data.

A row will be added as and when a prover run completes (displaying up to a maximum of 10 runs).

Starting a Prove

To start a prove:

• Click the 'New Prove' button.
• Select the stream to prove from the 'Stream' popup menu.
• Click the 'Start Prove' button.

This will send the instruction down to the flowcomputer to initiate a prove using the selected stream.

Using the Meter Factor

After the prove has completed all its runs, it will generate a new meter factor for the meter based on the prover results. The flowcomputer can be configured to automatically accept the meter factor is it is in an acceptable range. If it is configured to be manually set then the user must validate the meter factor themselves:

• Check the prove using the prover control charts (if available).
• If the values are acceptable, click the 'Implement MF' button. This will download the new meter factor to the flowcomputer.
