About Acquire™

Acquire™ is a software based Supervisory system for managing and controlling oil and gas metering systems. It can either be run as a stand-alone single user system or can run multi user using a standard web browser, distributed securely over a corporate intranet or even the Internet.

This Acquire™ User Manual only provides guidance in the use of Acquire™ at an operational level, locally or via a standard browser. Those needing to administer or configure an Acquire™ system should also read the Acquire Editor Manual.

To access Acquire™ for operational purposes, you will need :

• Local access to the Acquire™ server
or
• A web browser such as Internet Explorer v6.0 / v7.0, Firefox v2 or Safari v3 or better.
• Your screen resolution must be set to at least 1024 x 768, (Go to "Control Panels", "Displays", "Settings" on your PC to change screen resolution).
• To be able to access Acquire™ over the intranet or Internet you will need a valid user name and password. Provided you are authorised to do so, you can obtain them from the person who is responsible for the administration of the Acquire™ server.

All the Acquire™ functions described in this manual are available both locally and through the web browser interface and function in the same way.
