The system administrator can also elect to store reports and logs on a different volume to the default. Ideally, this should be on a different volume, even on a different site to ensure no loss of data in the event of a system failure.

Once a reports folder has been specified each time a report is generated a copy will be stored as a text file within the folder. Reports will be time and date stamped. Reports are kept internally within the database for ever, but it is good practise to regularly archive the text version of the reports.

If the system is using batch reports they must be enabled otherwise no new batch reports will be downloaded at the end of batch.
