Using Redundant Server

Local Server

In normal operation it is only possible to access the HMI from the master server. However, if the master server fails the redundant server becomes the PROCESS CONTROLLER and provides access to the HMI. When the master server comes back online it is automatically reinstated as PROCESS CONTROLLER and provides access to the HMI.

Web Server

To access Acquire using the web server:

Open a web browser window.
Enter the hostname (not the IP address) of the Acquire system. E.g. http://acquire.ambrit.com

The user's web browser automatically selects one of the servers to use. If a server goes down while the user is connected to it, they are seamlessly transitioned to the other server. The only indication that this has occurred is an alarm stating that a server has gone offline.
