Server SetupTo add a redundant server to a master server, the redundant server must be running with a copy of Acquire using a redundant key file. The master server must be running on a key file that is twinned with the redundant key file. To add a key to a copy of Acquire:

Once the configuration has been set up on the master server it is automatically transferred to the redundant server. The following window appears on the master server:

Once the updating process has completed, the redundant server is active and will mirror the master server. N.B. the HMI interface is only accessible from the PROCESS CONTROLLER. Process ControllerThe flowcomputer status screen on the master server will display a green top bar with the text "PROCESS CONTROLLER" and the redundant server will display a red top bar with the text "NOT THE PROCESS CONTROLLER" . In normal operation the master server is the PROCESS CONTROLLER. If the master server is down, or if the master server has less active RTU connections than the redundant server, the redundant server will automatically become the PROCESS CONTROLLER.
