Adding a PLC

Acquire can be linked to a wide variety of instrumentation. In fact, any device that supports Modbus (serial or TCP) can be linked into Acquire very easily.

To add a PLC or other device:

Select 'Flowcomputers' from the 'Admin' menu to open the flowcomputers window.

To add a PLC:

Click the 'Add' button.

Note: Only PLCs should be added this way. Flowcomputers should be added by adding a station.

To delete a PLC:

Highlight the PLC by single clicking on it.
Click 'Delete'.

Note: Flowcomputers cannot be deleted from this list as they are part of the station. To remove a flowcomputer you must remove the station.

To edit a flowcomputer or PLC:

Double click on it from the list.

You can also edit the flowcomputer settings by double clicking on the icon of the flowcomputer in the Flowcomputer Status window.
