BatchingAcquire™ manages the complete batch process. It can either manage the batch schedule across a single multi stream flowcomputer or across multiple single stream flowcomputers. There are two different methods that Acquire uses to manage the batch scheduling: pipeline and ship loading. Pipeline - Pipelines by their very nature are continuously batching. As one batch ends the next one immediately begins. Acquire managed the batch schedule in the flowcomputer and automatically allocates the next batch in the schedule once a batch ends. Ship Loading - Acquire manages a batch schedule of all the ships that are due to be loaded. Rather than it being a continuously running process as with pipeline batching, the operator can control the order of ships they want to load, by manually starting and ending each batch. These individual batch details are downloaded into the flowcomputer. Acquire monitors the status of the batch in the flowcomputer, showing a real time view of the batch's progress. Acquire can also issue commands to the sampler at regular intervals during the batch in order to obtain a representative sample of the batch. When the batch is completed, Acquire automatically downloads the flowcomputer generated batch report along with customised styled reports such as 'Bill of Lading' or 'Delivery Reports' etc. A historical record is maintained of every batch processed through the system along with all of the collected reports. Note: Batching is only available on the Omni 3000/6000. |
